Unbeatable Virus Detection and Cleaning
McAfee GroupShield uses the award-winning McAfee scanning engine to detect, clean, and block viruses, worms, Trojans, and other potentially unwanted programs. Scans of your Microsoft Exchange files are fast and easy with in-memory and incremental on-demand scans. In-memory scanning ensures that items can be scanned without having to be written to disk, which reduces server load. The incremental on-demand scans focus on documents created or updated since the last scheduled scan.
Content Filtering
GroupShield allows you to filter messages based on size, attachment type, or contents. This lets you prevent inappropriate information from coming into your network, as well as guard against inappropriate or sensitive information traversing or leaving your network. You can block or quarantine messages that contain specific words or phrases in the subject line, message body, or attachments. Ensure compliance with corporate email policies by adding disclaimers and filtering by file size.
Block Spam
GroupShield includes a built-in, optionally licensed anti-spam capability. Third-party tests show that McAfee anti-spam blocks approximately 98 percent of spam, with no false positives. Advanced spam management features such as McAfee Quarantine Manager lets your users receive daily spam digests, set up blacklists and whitelists, and search the quarantine.
Manage Your Security
GroupShield can be managed via its built-in HTML interface, or via McAfee’s centralized management console—McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator® (ePO™). With ePO, you can manage multiple McAfee security products from a single console and create detailed graphical reports. ePO lets you remotely deploy GroupShield, saving time and valuable resources.
