Virus Certification Test Suites Matrix below maps Certification Candidate types to what virus collections it must be tested against for detection and cleaning testing.

The intent of the Anti-Virus Certification Test Suites Matrix is to indicate:

1. Whether or not a Certification Candidate type undergoes On-Demand and/or On-Access testing;
2. Which virus collections a Certification Candidate type is tested against for On-Demand and On-Access testing
3. What percentage of each Virus collection must minimally be detected for On-Demand and On-Access testing;
4. Whether cleaning testing (when elected) would be performed as an On-Demand or On-Access test.

Note: For Certification Candidates that elect to be tested against the secondary Cleaning module, the Virus Certification Test Suite consists of the subset of In-the-Wild Viruses that can be cleaned. Whether cleaning testing would be performed as an On-Demand or On-Access test is indicated in the matrix with a "C" following the "Y."
