Consortium

The ICSA Labs Network IPS Product Developers Consortium (NIPD) is comprised of network IPS vendors (see below) committed to blocking network-based attacks before they impact enterprise networks. Begun in March 2005 (press release announcing the group's formation), the primary goals of the NIPD are to:

•	reach out to & educate end users about the role of network IPS technology;
•	increase the adoption of certified network IPS products in enterprises;
•	create & evolve an objective, meaningful network IPS testing standard.
