White Paper Issued: "Third-Party Assurance as a Component of the Enterprise Product Selection Process"

I hinted in the reply to a comment on one of my earlier postings (Looking to make certified products a proposal requirement? Look here for sample language.) that the sample language we supplied for inclusion in RFPs was extracted from a larger white paper on the topic.  Well today, we've released the paper, titled "Third-Party Assurance as a Component of the Enterprise Product Selection Process."

This paper, which has been under development for over a year, attempts to deal honestly with some of the challenges of integrating requirements for third-party assurance into the procurement process.  We think third-party assurance is important and that ICSA Labs offers one of the best options for most enterprises and end users to get their hands on meaningful assurance.  If you've ever found yourself wondering "Why would a company not require third-party assurance as a component of their product selection criteria?", then this is the white paper for you.

Comments on the white paper welcome.
