Chicago, IL – February 10, 2014 – Emmi Solutions, a leader in outcomes-driven patient engagement, received the 2014 Edition Ambulatory & Inpatient Modular EHR certification for EmmiEngage. The solution was certified by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

This certification confirms that EmmiEngage v7.4 satisfies the set of standards specified in the Patient-Specific Education objective identified in the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Incentive Program and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). The Patient-Specific Education Objective is a requirement in Meaningful Use Stage 2 of the program. Hospitals must attest to this objective in order to receive reimbursement incentives.

"As meaningful use evolves, the focus will shift from ensuring patients have access to information to empowering them to utilize online portals, make informed decisions and change behavior," said Devin Gross, CEO of Emmi Solutions. "Clinical studies and data analyses demonstrated that our technology helps engage and activate patients in a meaningful way that can lead to better health outcomes.”
